İzmir KültürPark House of Finland Ambassador

After the pandemic, the 45-year-old Finnish ambassador will settle in Izmir permanently with his wife and son. Painting and Sculpture Museum in İzmir KültürPark was renovated for him. This space will also host some occasions such as formal meetings, cocktails, private meetings and exhibitions.

The concept of 'Finland's natural heritage' has been applied in the application of these spaces. The Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun, which are the most familiar natural beauties, dominate the decisions of the house.

Material selections are natural, light and comfortable.
The color palette used in the areas is inspired by the northern lights (cold) in the public areas and the midnight sun in the private rooms (warm).

A central fireplace, seen in Scandinavian house typologies, where the family can gather around and a sauna is a must.

Areas such as bedrooms, bathrooms and sauna that the family will use privately are located on the upper floor. While more general meeting areas are located on the ground floor, areas such as the living room, kitchen and home office are separated by rotating panels in the general areas.

Panels, Railings etc. the details are always vertical to reflect the trees in the Scandinavian style.
